So I have an enlarged thyroid. My ob/gyn found it at my annual exam and thought I should have an ultrasound. My first thought was that I hoped it wasn't my twin. It wasn't, thank goodness! There is a history of cancer in my family, so that's all I've been thinking about for three stinkin' weeks. The ultrasound brought the diagnosis of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and the need to meet with an endocrinologist. I had to go to Northwest Senior Health for my appointment with the specialist, which as a 34 year old woman I really didn't appreciate. Anywho, he told me there's no mass or tumor or anything disturbing. Just your everyday goiter which is nothing more than an enlarged thyroid. He has upped my daily synthroid prescription. So all's well. The doc said I should be feeling better any moment, so I'm looking forward to that.
I just finished reading "Switch" by Sandra Brown. It was good. I still like "Play Dirty" the best. Before "Switch" I read Nora Robert's "Black Hills" which I really liked. I didn't want it to end.
Aaron is home sick today. My mother-in-law and I have diagnosed bronchitis, but I probably need to get him to a doctor since he's had fever for two days.
Andrew is headed to McGarrah's Pumpkin Patch with his school today. He gets to ride the bus so he is so excited!
Addy threw the biggest fit ever last night in front of her Nana. Janice was in shock! It was funny and embarrassing for me. Addy is my biggest eater and my biggest fit thrower. So much for my little debutante!
Nothing else happening here. I've been saying lots of prayers for my health, my friends' marriages, my kids, my family, friends of friends who have experienced so much pain and sadness. I am so blessed.
Heather
